Well-Architected Review

It's crucial for businesses to ensure that their AWS infrastructure is designed and managed according to best practices. This is where an AWS Well-Architected Review comes into play.Performing an AWS Well-Architected Review helps us optimize your AWS workloads for security, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency

We conduct a Well-Architected Review for our customers through the following steps:

1: Incorporating the six pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework into your architecture:
  • Operational Excellence: We assess how well your workload is operated and monitored to support development and run workloads effectively, gain insight into their operation, and continuously improve supporting processes and procedures to delivery business value.
  • Security: We evaluate the security measures in place to protect data and resources to protect data, systems, and assets.
  • Reliability: We check for fault tolerance and disaster recovery capabilities to perform its intended function correctly and consistently when it’s expected to.
  • Performance Efficiency: We assess the workload's performance and resource utilization to to use computing resources efficiently to meet system requirements, and to maintain that efficiency as demand changes and technologies evolve.
  • Cost Optimization: We analyze the cost-effectiveness of your infrastructure to deliver business value at the lowest price point.
  • Sustainability: We addresses the long-term environmental, economic, and societal impact of your business activities.

2: Gather information:

We collect information about your AWS environment. This includes infrastructure diagrams, architectural documents, and relevant configurations. We interview key stakeholders to gain insights into their business goals and challenges.

3: Identify key workloads:

We determine which workloads within our customer's AWS environment are most critical to their business and focus our review efforts on these key workloads to ensure maximum impact.

4: Use the AWS Well-Architected Tool:

AWS provides the Well-Architected Tool, which automate the review process. We use this tool to assess each workload against the six pillars of the Well-Architected Framework. The tool provides recommendations and best practices for improvements.

5: Analyze Findings:

We review the results from the Well-Architected Tool and identify areas where our customer's workloads can be optimized and pay particular attention to any critical issues that need immediate attention.

6: Create an Action Plan:

We work closely with your customer to develop a detailed action plan that outlines the recommended changes and improvements and prioritize these based on criticality and impact on the business.

7: Implement Changes:

We assist our customers in implementing the recommended changes, whether it's optimizing security configurations, enhancing fault tolerance, improving performance, or reducing costs.

8: Monitor and Iterate:

Once the changes are in place, we establish a monitoring and iteration process by regularly reviewing the workloads to ensure they continue to meet the Well-Architected Framework's standards.

9: Document and Report:

We maintain thorough documentation of the entire Well-Architected Review process, including initial assessments, action plans, and implemented changes and provide our customers with a detailed report summarizing the review findings and improvements made.
